Meet Jeremy
Jeremy Chesney grew up in Chelsea, Michigan, and today calls Jackson home. With deep roots in the area and more than a decade of experience in the carpentry and remodeling industry, Jeremy brings a strong understanding of both the craft and the communities he serves throughout Jackson County and the Ann Arbor area.
Jeremy began his carpentry career in 2012, starting right out of high school in a small, family-owned cabinet shop. That early experience gave him a strong foundation in craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the importance of taking pride in quality work.
Over the years, Jeremy continued to grow his skills and experience while working with several companies and taking on increasingly responsible roles. His career eventually led him to become a Project Manager for a large remodeling company, where he gained extensive experience managing projects, coordinating trades, solving challenges, and bringing complex projects from planning to completion.
After more than a decade in the industry, Jeremy took the next step in his career and founded Portage Creek Carpentry. Today, he brings years of hands-on carpentry experience, project management expertise, and a commitment to quality to every project he takes on.
Jeremy enjoys that carpentry is never quite the same from one day to the next. Every project brings its own challenges, and he takes pride in finding practical, thoughtful solutions while delivering workmanship that is built to stand the test of time. For him, Portage Creek Carpentry is about more than completing a project: it’s about doing the work right and building something homeowners can be proud of for years to come.
